Transfer a physical SIM card or an eSIM (from Samsung Galaxy to Samsung Galaxy)

Step-by-step instructions

To complete the following steps, you’ll need your old and your new Samsung Galaxy mobiles.


① Add eSIM (new mobile): Select Settings > Connections > SIM manager and tap “Add eSIM”.
② The transfer process will start.
③ Tap “Transfer SIM from another device”.
④ Check that the old mobile has at least One UI 5.1.
⑤ Unlock the old mobile and place it next to the new one.
⑥ Tap “Transfer” on the old mobile.
⑦ The old mobile requires a confirmation code shown on the new device.
⑧ A confirmation code will be displayed on the new mobile.
⑨ Enter the six-digit confirmation code on the old mobile.
⑩ Continue on the new mobile.
⑪ Tap “Transfer”.
⑫ Continue on the old mobile.
⑬ Tap “Confirm”.
⑭ The eSIM will now be transferred to the new mobile.
⑮ Tap “Done” to finish the transfer on the new phone.
⑯ The eSIM transfer is in progress.
⑰ The SIM information is being checked.
⑱ The CHmobile eSIM will be added to the new mobile (this may take a few minutes).
⑲ The eSIM is now ready for use on the new mobile.
⑳ The eSIM has been transferred successfully to the new mobile.
㉑ Tap “Remove” to delete the eSIM from the old mobile after the transfer.
