Frequently asked questions
Why is my first bill higher than expected?
Your first bill may be higher because it includes fees for two different periods:
▸ A prorated amount for the month your subscription started
▸ The full monthly fee for the current billing month
Additionally, the activation fee is always charged on the first bill.
From your second bill onward, you will only be charged the standard monthly fee plus any usage from the previous month.
For a detailed explanation, please see our article My first bill explained.
Why have I been charged for Premium Services?
Premium Services include purchases or actions that generate additional costs, such as:
▸ Apps or in-app purchases
▸ Music or digital content
▸ Snacks or vending services
▸ Calls to 0900 numbers
▸ Premium SMS
These appear on your bill as value-added services.
Why have I been charged for international calls?
International call charges appear when you make calls or send SMS from Switzerland to another country.
Whether you are charged depends on your subscription:
▸ Some plans include international calls to certain destinations
▸ Charges may apply if the destination is not covered or if you exceed the included allowance
The cost varies based on the country you call and the type of usage.
Why have I been charged for roaming?
Roaming charges appear when you use your mobile service outside Switzerland — for example, making or receiving calls, sending SMS, or using mobile data abroad.
Whether charges apply depends on your subscription:
▸ Some plans include roaming in specific zones (such as the EU)
▸ Charges may appear if you travel to a country not covered or if you exceed the included allowance
The cost depends on the country you visited and your usage.
Why is my bill higher after switching my subscription?
When you change your plan, the next bill may be higher because it is calculated on a pro-rata basis from the switch date.
Your bill will include:
▸ A refund of the previous plan for the unused period
▸ The prorated cost of the new plan from the switch date
▸ The regular monthly fee for the current billing month
This combination can temporarily increase the amount for that month.
Future bills will reflect only your new plan.
What costs can appear on my bill?
Typical items include:
▸ Monthly plan fee
▸ Options you activated (such as roaming options)
▸ Usage costs (calls, SMS, data outside your plan)
▸ One-time charges (e.g., SIM replacement)
▸ Activation fee (only on the first bill)
When is my bill issued?
Bills are issued at the beginning of each month.
Payment is due by the end of the same month.
